The Long-Awaited Letter - I now have somewhere to live!
23 September 2004 // 2:27 p.m.I woke up from a deep sleep this morning to the sound of the post arriving, and as has become the tradition, I trudged downstairs to see if it was for me.
And, oh happy, blessed day,I received all of my information about where I am going to live for the next year.
I got my college details, and in the spirit of diary nicknames, my college will henceforth be named ‘Random College’.
I've been checking out the Random College website and that, and apart from being an absolutely hideous building, it looks pretty good. I just hope that I feel at home once I get there!
Unfortunately, I won't have internet access in my room. Which means that I'll be online in the library a lot during the day. However, as if to make up for this fact, we have our own bar and I'm also right next to the place where I'll be taking my French course, which means no long walks home in the evenings through a darkened campus.
